List for 1995. In 1996, Dent added another Tour victory, his first of the
'96 season, at the Bank of Boston Senior Classic with a one-stroke victory
over Tom Wargo. The $120,000 first prize raised Dent's 1996 winnings to
$496,345. The former caddy at Augusta National has won at least once in
six of the last eight years.
Jim Dent has won more than $6
million in his professional golfing career. Mr. Dent surpassed the $5
million mark in earnings on the Senior Tour in 1997. Mr. Dent grew up in Augusta,
Ga., and served as a caddie at Augusta National as a youngster. Mr. Dent
turned professional in 1966, joined the PGA Tour in 1970 and began
his senior career in 1989. Mr. Dent has 12 Senior PGA victories including
the Home Depot Invitational in 1998.
